March 2, 2011
We decided to leave in March because Owen has a timeshare at El Cid in Mazataln, and we decided to make it a pit stop and vacation with his daughter Allie (who is a sophomore in college) for spring break. So, we are flying Allie down and will meet her there on the 12th.
With me at the wheel, and Owen navigating, we headed out of Glenwood Springs, Colorado down to Southern California to see both of my sisters, Pam and Nansea, and her husband (and my bro) Eric. It was the first time in 15 years that we were all in the same room together! It was really great to see and spend time with both of them. Also, my nieces Katie and Cara. I can’t believe that Katie has just graduated from college! You go girl! So, if anyone out there needs a photographer/archeologist, just let me know!
I also got to see one of my best friends Chrissy! She is still crazy as ever, and it was so good to see her! She is always herself, and I love her for that!!! We all had a good time together eating and laughing. We spent the night in front of Pam, Rick and Cara’s house. Had a great breakfast and got to get Pam a really cool blouse for her birthday.
And, with me behind the wheel, off we go to the Nogalas Boarder in Arizona. We pulled over when it started to get dark. It was actually before our rv park we were looking for, but we were exhausted, so the empty lot looked great to us. Only one other Semi Trucker was parked there. That’s the great thing about living in the RV. You can do it anywhere!
